The Research Group on Sustainable Catalytic Processes (proCatalis) has the Mission of developing projects and qualifying human resources in the area of Catalytic Processes in order to add value to raw materials through sustainable approaches. The Group has a multidisciplinary character, with members from different areas of knowledge, working together to be an international reference in the development of technologies that employ catalysis to transform raw materials into high added value products. For this Vision to materialize, one of the Group’s main Objectives is to be aligned not only with what is internationally generated through scientific products, such as articles, theses, patents, among others, but also with the actions and visions of related companies.
Multidisciplinary
The proCatalis group understands that better results are obtained when working at the interface between the sciences. For this reason, the group is made up of people with different backgrounds in different areas of knowledge, especially Forestry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Chemistry.
Teamwork and collaborations
The proCatalis group prioritizes teamwork and also bets on collaborations between teaching and research institutions, as well as with the most diverse companies in the private sector.
Challenge
Our motivation is based on the challenges that permeate the universe of research and development. We believe that science and information are essential tools for human growth, for the maturation of ideas, improvement of existing technologies, and that challenges are more than necessary to achieve good results.
Simplicity, balance and purpose
We believe that great ideas are built on the simplest of information. Science done with well-defined purposes, in a serious, balanced and passionate way, is capable of generating the best results.
